Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of Youth campaign

The Government of India has initiated the 'Viksit Bharat@2047' agenda as a comprehensive vision plan aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by its 100th anniversary of independence in 2047. This agenda encompasses various crucial aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance.

Key Objectives

Orientation of Youth with the Viksit Bharat Agenda: This objective entails aligning the perspectives and actions of the youth with national development goals through educational initiatives. It seeks to encourage dialogue among youth on goals contributing to the larger vision.

Gather Ideas from Youth for a Developed India: Engaging youth in the ideation process by soliciting their innovative ideas and perspectives for national development projects.

Identify the Youth’s focused Sectors: Determining the sectors (such as technology, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, etc.) that interest youth the most to channelize policies effectively.

Seek Commitment from Youth towards Nation Building: Encouraging youth participation and commitment to national development efforts through various programs and initiatives.

Key Stakeholders

The "Viksit Bharat Voice of Youth" initiative envisions Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as the anchor points for this initiative, with dedicated teams to promote, organize, disseminate information, and mobilize students. The key stakeholders include:

  1. Administration - Facilitators in coordinating efforts and ensuring smooth implementation.
  2. Academic Institutions - Responsible for creating awareness among students about the agenda and its significance.
  3. Teachers - Tasked with orienting students and guiding them regarding their role in making India a Viksit Bharat, while encouraging active participation.
  4. Students - Encouraged to envision their role in nation-building, fostering an environment of collective responsibility.

In pursuit of the vision of Viksit Bharat, the UGC has requested all Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to disseminate information about the "Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of Youth" initiative among students and encourage their participation in the campaign.
